Narrative:
Took off from southfork ranch on northeast flight path. Cl 'G' airspace at liftoff. Transition to cl 'east.' climbed to 1000 ft and encountered no clouds, then climbed to 1500 ft and encountered patchy clouds. Immediately descended to 1000 ft and below for balance of flight to kitty hawk airport. Incident: cloud contact for approximately 30 seconds to 1 min during VFR only flight.

Title: A HOT AIR BALLOON WAS LIFTED INTO A CLOUD.
Narrative: TOOK OFF FROM SOUTHFORK RANCH ON NE FLT PATH. CL 'G' AIRSPACE AT LIFTOFF. TRANSITION TO CL 'E.' CLBED TO 1000 FT AND ENCOUNTERED NO CLOUDS, THEN CLBED TO 1500 FT AND ENCOUNTERED PATCHY CLOUDS. IMMEDIATELY DSNDED TO 1000 FT AND BELOW FOR BAL OF FLT TO KITTY HAWK ARPT. INCIDENT: CLOUD CONTACT FOR APPROX 30 SECONDS TO 1 MIN DURING VFR ONLY FLT.
