Narrative:
Air carrier 727 had an engine intermix. Engine 1, dash 7, engine 2, dash 7, engine 3, dash 15. #3 engine changed on feb/sun/94. Engine #3 egt gauge, N1 gauge, and oil temperature were not dash 15 gauges. Flew ship to dtw. In dtw questioned dispatch and maintenance control because cockpit operating manual states need for dash 15 gauges. Maintenance control sent information saying ok. Contacted 727 fleet captain for guidance. Decision made to make no further flts until 3 gauges replaced with dash 15 gauges.
