Narrative:
The problem arose as a result of deteriorating WX on my flight to rockport, tx. The contributing factors to the situation were 4 other aircraft at an uncontrolled airport at the same time with a ceiling of approximately 1700 ft MSL. The problem arose when the 5 aircraft were to use the same runway (9) or airspace at approximately the same time in WX that would not permit me to see but 1 other aircraft for about 3 seconds. Since I could see the airport and not the other aircraft, I elected to land on another runway (14). My primary reason for using another runway was I could see the airport and could see only 1 other aircraft. I had flown to the airport before and I knew I could land on runway 14 and stop before crossing runway 9.
