Narrative:
CAT III ILS bos 4R at 300 ft tower called to notify us that a ship of unknown size was moving in the harbor. This was our 1ST notification. I elected to continue believing we were probably already at the harbor, and by the time any altitude could have been gained on a missed, we would be over the runway. I am unsure, however, if this was the correct action and if there really is any danger of a collision. There is a note on the CAT ii/III approach plate which says that the CAT ii/III procedure is not authority/authorized with a ship harbor but what does that mean to me at 300 ft AGL? Also, if there is a collision danger, the note should reflect this. Also, shouldn't approach control have notified us earlier? This was a really bad feeling at 300 ft!
