Air Traffic Incident | Operational Error |
Narrative:
Operational error occurred when aircraft X and Y jets came less than 5 mi, 1000 ft. Training was in progress. Trainer and trainee were distraction about landline and direct coordination with other controllers. The sector was moderately lousy. I believe the error could have been avoided if there was a d-side available to handle the coordination which would have allowed the radar controller to concentrate on the aircraft.
