Narrative:

The ce-208A I was PIC in was on the ground. It was struck by a van that backed into my flap. Very little damage was done, just skin. I called company flight following an advised them. They got me to mechanic in charge. We discussed that it was not in a company 'MEL.' he asked the extent of the damage. After we understood the situation, he said I should continue flight to casper to have maintenance fix aircraft. Afterwards, it was pointed out to me that this was an incident and probably should have grounded the aircraft. My assistant chief pilot said he probably would have done the same. Then, after reviewing it, he changed his mind. Contributing probably was I was rerted in mid flight to hayden. Because of WX and traffic, I had to hold. I felt in a hurry to get the priority freight on to casper to get the 727 to memphis.
