Narrative:

I had just departed from missoula airport when I noticed some fluctuation in the oil pressure gauge and called the tower and returned to check it out on the ground. We found no problem (possibly an over careful pilot). Upon showing my paperwork (i.e., pilots license and medical) I found the aircraft's annual was expired as of 2/1/94. Aircraft is currently undergoing annual inspection.
