Narrative:
I was flying for a film crew doing a commercial just outside the controled airspace at sba on the coast that required a low fly-by with 2 helicopters to the film crew. I was told by the film people that all was coordinated with ATC (sba departure) and the lcls in the fly-by area. In fact no one had been coordinated. There was confusion between myself and a very busy controller and some other people in the film fly-by area. Next time I'll do my own coordination.
