Narrative:
Got sidetracked with 2 VFR aircraft requesting practice approach. Next thing I knew rdu approach control is calling to take the handoff on aircraft X. Normally, I always get non radar approval for entry into their sector, but giving too much attention to the VFR hindered this. Traffic volume was moderate, therefore, I can only attribute this to lack of attention and scanning.

Narrative: GOT SIDETRACKED WITH 2 VFR ACFT REQUESTING PRACTICE APCH. NEXT THING I KNEW RDU APCH CTL IS CALLING TO TAKE THE HDOF ON ACFT X. NORMALLY, I ALWAYS GET NON RADAR APPROVAL FOR ENTRY INTO THEIR SECTOR, BUT GIVING TOO MUCH ATTN TO THE VFR HINDERED THIS. TFC VOLUME WAS MODERATE, THEREFORE, I CAN ONLY ATTRIBUTE THIS TO LACK OF ATTN AND SCANNING.
