Narrative:
The aircraft was picked up from maintenance in law. The power quadrant was changed the night before. The preflight, engine start, taxi, and takeoff were all normal. During climb out a faint smell of smoke was noticed followed shortly after by a much stronger smell and visible smoke. The smoke appeared to be coming from under the right (#2) throttle lever. The crew declared an emergency and returned to law without incident.
