Narrative:
As we were climbing on departure from lga, we heard a commuter call out some traffic to departure control. We had the commuter in sight. They had reported what they thought was a pwred hang glider at approximately 11000 ft. Immediately we saw the traffic at our 12-1 O'clock position and took immediate evasive action. It was an unpwred hang glider that was approximately 10500-11000 ft. We rolled our aircraft into a 25-30 degree bank to the left and increased the rate of climb. The hang glider passed less than 1/4 mi to our right. We could clearly see the person in the glider as it passed on our right. It appeared to be red, yellow, and green.
