Narrative:
On jun/xx/94 myself and a customer were delivering a helicopter from dallas to birmingham and inadvertently entered tyler airspace. We were cruising at about 1200 MSL and were having some radio problems on the new aircraft. We were navigating by GPS which was slaved to the HSI and I had entered a fix that would take us approximately 10 mi south of tyler. We were taking turns flying while the other one played with the radio. During my turn to fly, I looked up and, oops!, I had drifted into tyler's airspace. I immediately turned south and quickly exited the airspace. I came about a mi from the runway before diverting.
