Narrative:
On the evening of jun/xx/94, a thunderstorm came through the murdo area where my cessna 182 was tied down. 3 days later when I preflted the aircraft the skies were overcast and it was raining. A complete preflight inspection was accomplished and I flew from murdo to waukesha, wisconsin, arriving at sunset. I put the aircraft in the hangar and went home. Next morning I went to the hangar to fly the aircraft and noticed hail damage to the horizontal surfaces. It appears that the falling rain at murdo prevented me from seeing the damage when I did my preflight inspection previous to flying home.
