Narrative:
Flight from mco-eyw at FL210. Given clearance by center to descend. At approximately 16000 ft I began to experience ear discomfort. I checked cabin pressure indicator -- cabin altitude was increasing at 1000 FPM. I notified captain. He attempted manual control no effect. I increased rate of descent to 3500 FPM. Cabin altitude. Reached ambient at approximately 10000 ft. Center was notified upon discovery of problem and gave lower altitude. Than first clearance. At approximately 8000 ft, slowed rate of descent to 500 FPM for passenger comfort. Remainder of flight to eyw normal. Postflt inspection normal except for 2 ft section of baggage compartment door seal loose due to bent retainer.

Title: ACFT CABIN PRESSURIZATION PROB.
Narrative: FLT FROM MCO-EYW AT FL210. GIVEN CLRNC BY CTR TO DSND. AT APPROX 16000 FT I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE EAR DISCOMFORT. I CHKED CABIN PRESSURE INDICATOR -- CABIN ALT WAS INCREASING AT 1000 FPM. I NOTIFIED CAPT. HE ATTEMPTED MANUAL CTL NO EFFECT. I INCREASED RATE OF DSCNT TO 3500 FPM. CABIN ALT. REACHED AMBIENT AT APPROX 10000 FT. CTR WAS NOTIFIED UPON DISCOVERY OF PROB AND GAVE LOWER ALT. THAN FIRST CLRNC. AT APPROX 8000 FT, SLOWED RATE OF DSCNT TO 500 FPM FOR PAX COMFORT. REMAINDER OF FLT TO EYW NORMAL. POSTFLT INSPECTION NORMAL EXCEPT FOR 2 FT SECTION OF BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SEAL LOOSE DUE TO BENT RETAINER.
