Narrative:
At mmu during our initial attempts to contact ground control, we received no reply. Shortly thereafter, a car from airport operations approached our aircraft and advised us to shut down because of a stuck microphone. After shutdown we phoned FBO requesting avionics service and were advised no avionics service available. We then checked avionics equipment, reset communication radios in racks, checked all microphone switches, etc. After this, a call-up to ground control produced a 'loud and clear' and we departed mmu without further problem. At the destination airport sullivan county international (msv), 1 hour later, communications normal on unicom. Upon return mmu and upon landing, tower advised us that our microphone was stuck once more and requested we call the tower manager on the phone. The tower manager told us that we had ground control 121.7 tied up for 20 mins prior to departure and upon our return to mmu our open microphone caused interference on tower frequency 118.1.

Title: STUCK MIKE WHILE ACFT IS ON THE GND.
Narrative: AT MMU DURING OUR INITIAL ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT GND CTL, WE RECEIVED NO REPLY. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, A CAR FROM ARPT OPS APCHED OUR ACFT AND ADVISED US TO SHUT DOWN BECAUSE OF A STUCK MIKE. AFTER SHUTDOWN WE PHONED FBO REQUESTING AVIONICS SVC AND WERE ADVISED NO AVIONICS SVC AVAILABLE. WE THEN CHKED AVIONICS EQUIP, RESET COM RADIOS IN RACKS, CHKED ALL MIKE SWITCHES, ETC. AFTER THIS, A CALL-UP TO GND CTL PRODUCED A 'LOUD AND CLR' AND WE DEPARTED MMU WITHOUT FURTHER PROB. AT THE DEST ARPT SULLIVAN COUNTY INTL (MSV), 1 HR LATER, COMS NORMAL ON UNICOM. UPON RETURN MMU AND UPON LNDG, TWR ADVISED US THAT OUR MIKE WAS STUCK ONCE MORE AND REQUESTED WE CALL THE TWR MGR ON THE PHONE. THE TWR MGR TOLD US THAT WE HAD GND CTL 121.7 TIED UP FOR 20 MINS PRIOR TO DEP AND UPON OUR RETURN TO MMU OUR OPEN MIKE CAUSED INTERFERENCE ON TWR FREQ 118.1.
