Narrative:
Becoming established (in left turn) from being vectored (from the south) to the ILS 26L at ontario. We (copilot and I) simultaneously, as traffic was given by ATC spotted traffic 11 O'clock less than a mi closing. Took evasive action to the right flying off localizer to the north. Conflicting traffic was traveling south, appeared to be CI85. Called approach on the phone, was informed traffic was a drug enforcement aircraft working the area with ontario approach. (Wandered a little too far off, and into a bad location, right on the localizer). Don't know what to say about suggestions other than all 3 parties involved the drug enforcement agent, ATC, and myself, to keep eyes and ears open for the unexpected!
