Narrative:

Loss of engine oil on 737-200. I accomplished some of the items on the #2 service on 737-200. The #3 item--engine oil, was not signed. However, a computer check showed the oil was svced at the terminal by a mechanic. The sequence number for the oil service xaction was logged on work control envelope. The oil quantity was logged on the service page of the logbook and agreed with the inbound flight and date. With all the above information and in agreement with company policy and procedure, I signed for the #3 item. I did not at any time have any involvement with the actual engine oil service.
