Narrative:
Flying eastbound at 5500 ft (normal en route grand canyon operators altitude). Another canyon operator reported leaving temple bar (approximately 5-7 mi east of bennelli bay) descending out of 60 wbound. I then announced my position so that he would wait until he passed me to descend, but he elected not to wait, therefore, nearly colliding with my aircraft at the same altitude.
