Narrative:

Climbing out of pit, was told to climb and maintain 5000 ft. Most of the time we get 11000 ft at this point so my thoughts were to climb to 11000 ft. Captain was doing the checklist when he asked me to verify what altitude we were climbing to. At that time, we were at 5500 ft. I chopped power and drifted in the plane, but they all have been deactivated. If we had it, we might not have busted altitude.
