Narrative:
Reported ceiling was 2900 broken/I was flying at 20008 ft MSL in haze, when visibility stopped due to sudden rain and clouds (15 mi from leesburg) lower than forecast. Since I was on flight following immediately requested help and was vectored to a descent into leesburg and to a safe landing.

Title: PVT PLT OF A SMA SEL REQUESTED AND RECEIVED A FLT ASSIST AFTER ENCOUNTERING UNFORECASTED WX.
Narrative: RPTED CEILING WAS 2900 BROKEN/I WAS FLYING AT 20008 FT MSL IN HAZE, WHEN VISIBILITY STOPPED DUE TO SUDDEN RAIN AND CLOUDS (15 MI FROM LEESBURG) LOWER THAN FORECAST. SINCE I WAS ON FLT FOLLOWING IMMEDIATELY REQUESTED HELP AND WAS VECTORED TO A DSCNT INTO LEESBURG AND TO A SAFE LNDG.
