Narrative:
Approaching to land at summerville, wv, on an IFR flight plan, got airport in sight and canceled IFR. Proceeding to airport VFR. Dark overcast night with scattered clouds and fog below, we were in descent over the airport proceeding southward to land northeast. On circle to land northeast encountered strong nwesterly winds and turbulence and went further southeast than anticipated. Mountainous terrain lays to the southeast. Encountered tree tops at 26-2700 ft MSL. After strike, aircraft flew normally but didn't know extent of damage so we proceeded to lewisburg, west virginia, where there is a 7004 ft runway and good emergency procedures and equipment. Landing was normal and uneventful. Upon shutdown discovered bent and dented leading edges of wings and nacelles.
