Narrative:
I performed a 100 hour inspection on piper 180. I informed the owner that compression test showed one cylinder was 63/80 and was leaking past exhaust valve. I told him exhaust leaks only get worse, but compression was good enough to pass inspection. Supplemental information from acn 280642: received a letter form FAA regarding inspection during purchase of a PA28-180. Occurred on or about mar/xx/94 in needles, ca. Preliminary investigation reveals I may not have followed FARS part 4365 while performing the annual inspection. My records show that I didn't annual APA28/80 on or about mar/xx/94 at needles, ca.
