Narrative:
Flight aug/xx/94 dfw lga scheduled departure time XA41L. Release fuel 49.8 -- actual fob 50.2. Flight planned at maximum takeoff gross weight structural -- 178000 pounds. At about XA55L agent had passenger on board and we received load closeout with tow of 176811 with 124 passenger that included 8 children. Agent wanted to remove 2 passenger and when I asked why he said load wanted them off. I said the closeout showed an almost 1200 pound spread between actual weight and allowable tow. Agent was concerned about delay and I said we were ok and he could close the door. We departed gate at XB01L and taxied to runway 35L. An ACARS message was received saying we were over maximum ramp weight and to return to gate. We counted actual pob at 132 with 1 lap child. We returned to gate at XX35L. Agent took off 11 passenger. Maintenance performed an overweight taxi inspection. We refueled and departed the gate at XX17L. New closeout tow 177018 with 123 passenger and no children. How is it possible the original closeout was so far off?
