Narrative:

I was working sector 3 at anc ARTCC. I had an arrival departure situation at ome and was going to use DME passage to resolve the situation. The departing and arriving aircraft were asked their DME, the reports indicated that we had tail to tail. However when we requested the reports the arriving aircraft answered for the departing aircraft and the full call sign was not used. This lead to a hear back error and a mistake was made in the position of the aircraft which lead to a loss of separation.
