Narrative:
We had a lot of trouble getting our rerte instructions from ZAU on frequency 133.37. The controller told us it was a recurring problem. This disruption of communication came at a very bad time -- WX ahead and lots of airplanes getting vectors. The frequency cuts out periodically when the controller keys his microphone. I think he can hear the airplanes all the time, but from the ground up to the flts, spotty at best.
