Narrative:
Returned to gate mia with gen drive light and EICAS message -- disconnected integrated drive generator. Maintenance planned to placard right integrated drive generator but found an oil leak in APU - and replaced right integrated drive generator. Departed with APU placarded inoperative. On climb through 5000 ft, right integrated drive generator light and message began flickering again. Called mia maintenance and they concurred in our decision to return to mia. Called dispatch and checked legality for overweight landing. Landed mia runway 27L (very smooth landing) at 305000 pounds. Aircraft removed from service.
