Narrative:
Passing through approximately 6000 ft on a vector for the visual approach to runway 13 at mdt, the crew heard a 'thump' which sounded like someone dropping a heavy object in the aisle. All instruments readings and flight control responses appeared normal. Since we were so close to final, we continued with the visual approach and landed without incident. On a postflt inspection, we found that the exterior pane on the right side of the fuselage was cracked, seat 3C. Contract maintenance was called out for repair.
