Narrative:
Acting as PIC but not flying, we were holding short of the runway at an uncontrolled field. We announced our intentions for takeoff and began to take the runway. As we were crossing the hold short line, we noticed an aircraft on final. We stopped short of the runway but past the hold short line. We waited for the aircraft to land and then proceeded to takeoff. This has taught me to always double-check the approach and never take the runway until I am absolutely sure that there is no traffic.

Title: ACFT STARTS TO TAXI ONTO RWY WHILE ANOTHER ACFT IS LNDG.
Narrative: ACTING AS PIC BUT NOT FLYING, WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF THE RWY AT AN UNCTLED FIELD. WE ANNOUNCED OUR INTENTIONS FOR TKOF AND BEGAN TO TAKE THE RWY. AS WE WERE XING THE HOLD SHORT LINE, WE NOTICED AN ACFT ON FINAL. WE STOPPED SHORT OF THE RWY BUT PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE. WE WAITED FOR THE ACFT TO LAND AND THEN PROCEEDED TO TKOF. THIS HAS TAUGHT ME TO ALWAYS DOUBLE-CHK THE APCH AND NEVER TAKE THE RWY UNTIL I AM ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT THERE IS NO TFC.
