Narrative:
A male jumpseat rider, showing what appeared to be proper identify boarded and sought the cockpit observer seat. Availability allowed him to take a passenger seat in the cabin. At 6200 ft approaching localizer intercept, he appeared in the cockpit with no knock and advised he wanted 'to see the landing.' as we approached pdx, he was advised in 2 words 'situation down.' after gate arrival he thanked the crew and left the cockpit immediately followed by the flight attendant coming in and advising he had ordered and consumed a beer in back, and upon approaching the cockpit below 10000 ft was advised not to enter the sterile environment. This advice was obviously ignored and entry was gained with, we believe, his key! Investigation by my air carrier and the FAA sfo reveals a problem individual now employed by air carrier B, idented by social security number as mr X.
