Narrative:
Macon RAPCON, macon, GA, on nov/xx/94 the radio transmitter building loss power, the back-up generator failed to start. Resulting in the loss of all radio transmitters (back-up and primary) at all radar position. All aircraft had to be transferred to 1 common frequency and worked from a portable transmitter, while airways facility was called through the mcf, since it was a federal holiday and no airways facility (maintenance personnel) are on duty wkends or holidays. There was only 1 VHF portable in the RAPCON. This is a known and reoccurring problem at macon RAPCON.
