Narrative:
While in level cruise the engine in my cessna 150M developed a severe miss. Tried carburetor heat then switch magnetos. On left miss got much worse. At the time the problem started I was within 2 mi of my normal base, avc, which was closed for runway repaving. Having done a runway inspection that morning I knew that runway resurfacing was complete and lacking only lights and markings before reopening in 3 days. After visually inspecting runway for equipment or people (of which there was none), I chose to do a precautionary landing at a closed airport rather than try and make it back 17 mi to the next airport. Landing was completed with no problem. An inspection of the spark plugs revealed that 2 were lead fouled. This problem was directly relayed to service bulletin issued on oct/xx/94 by FBO.
