Narrative:
This did not appear to be that close of a conflict. Center reported VFR traffic at 10500 ft and we were on a descent, pilot's discretion, to 6000 ft! We were direct the crw VOR on ssw course and traffic was on northeast course. We had him in sight and first officer was flying. As I requested slight left turn around him, TCASII went off and progressed to command descent. First officer went straight to 9500 at 290-300K. 2 points: we never were that close to other aircraft, TCASII made so much noise it totally distracted both of us.

Title: TCASII RA MADE SO MUCH NOISE IT DISTRACTED FLC AS THEY VISUALLY AVOIDED CTR RPTED VFR TFC.
Narrative: THIS DID NOT APPEAR TO BE THAT CLOSE OF A CONFLICT. CTR RPTED VFR TFC AT 10500 FT AND WE WERE ON A DSCNT, PLT'S DISCRETION, TO 6000 FT! WE WERE DIRECT THE CRW VOR ON SSW COURSE AND TFC WAS ON NE COURSE. WE HAD HIM IN SIGHT AND FO WAS FLYING. AS I REQUESTED SLIGHT L TURN AROUND HIM, TCASII WENT OFF AND PROGRESSED TO COMMAND DSCNT. FO WENT STRAIGHT TO 9500 AT 290-300K. 2 POINTS: WE NEVER WERE THAT CLOSE TO OTHER ACFT, TCASII MADE SO MUCH NOISE IT TOTALLY DISTRACTED BOTH OF US.
