Narrative:
Captain busted altitude constraint on descent by about 1000 ft. I hinted several times (ie, cockpit resource management) that we were too high and needed to use spoilers but to no avail. Suggestion: try to convince pilots to plan to meet constraints prior to rather than exactly at point.

Narrative: CAPT BUSTED ALT CONSTRAINT ON DSCNT BY ABOUT 1000 FT. I HINTED SEVERAL TIMES (IE, COCKPIT RESOURCE MGMNT) THAT WE WERE TOO HIGH AND NEEDED TO USE SPOILERS BUT TO NO AVAIL. SUGGESTION: TRY TO CONVINCE PLTS TO PLAN TO MEET CONSTRAINTS PRIOR TO RATHER THAN EXACTLY AT POINT.
