Narrative:
After a minor adjustment to starter on a cold morning, I intended to pull propeller through a couple of blades before starting to move some oil. Engine had not run in several days. Engine started, airplane went approximately 30 ft and hit hangar. Master switch was off. Magnetos were off. Inspection found broken ground wire on left magneto.

Title: EXPERIMENTAL ACFT STARTS AS PROP PULLED THROUGH. HITS HANGAR.
Narrative: AFTER A MINOR ADJUSTMENT TO STARTER ON A COLD MORNING, I INTENDED TO PULL PROP THROUGH A COUPLE OF BLADES BEFORE STARTING TO MOVE SOME OIL. ENG HAD NOT RUN IN SEVERAL DAYS. ENG STARTED, AIRPLANE WENT APPROX 30 FT AND HIT HANGAR. MASTER SWITCH WAS OFF. MAGNETOS WERE OFF. INSPECTION FOUND BROKEN GND WIRE ON L MAGNETO.
