Narrative:
It is not uncommon at ptk to get a 'taxi' clearance from the tower/ground after turning off the active onto a taxiway intersection that keeps us rolling. In fact, more often than not that's the way it happens at ptk. I had just turned off the runway onto the intersection, rolling, and was changing to ground frequency. Just as my nose entered the parallel taxiway, a taxiing aircraft turned his taxi/landing lights on. I decided to continue on to get out of his way by taxiing across the parallel taxiway into parking. The 'taxiing aircraft' that I crossed in front of made a comment to ground control that he did not appreciate me taxiing in front of him. Hearing him on the frequency I apologized to him on ground control by telling ground control of my mistake and taxied to parking.

Title: CPR SMT TAXIES IN FRONT OF TAXIING TFC AFTER DEPARTING THE RWY.
Narrative: IT IS NOT UNCOMMON AT PTK TO GET A 'TAXI' CLRNC FROM THE TWR/GND AFTER TURNING OFF THE ACTIVE ONTO A TXWY INTXN THAT KEEPS US ROLLING. IN FACT, MORE OFTEN THAN NOT THAT'S THE WAY IT HAPPENS AT PTK. I HAD JUST TURNED OFF THE RWY ONTO THE INTXN, ROLLING, AND WAS CHANGING TO GND FREQ. JUST AS MY NOSE ENTERED THE PARALLEL TXWY, A TAXIING ACFT TURNED HIS TAXI/LNDG LIGHTS ON. I DECIDED TO CONTINUE ON TO GET OUT OF HIS WAY BY TAXIING ACROSS THE PARALLEL TXWY INTO PARKING. THE 'TAXIING ACFT' THAT I CROSSED IN FRONT OF MADE A COMMENT TO GND CTL THAT HE DID NOT APPRECIATE ME TAXIING IN FRONT OF HIM. HEARING HIM ON THE FREQ I APOLOGIZED TO HIM ON GND CTL BY TELLING GND CTL OF MY MISTAKE AND TAXIED TO PARKING.
