Narrative:
On dec/xx/94 at XA00Z flight landed at anc international airport. ATIS called for compact snow and ice on the runway. When we landed there was about 3 inches of loose snow on the runway. After touchdown we went into reverse at approximately 90 KTS and the #1 engine ingested snow and flamed out. The captain was flying. We kept it in the center of the runway. The braking action was poor and it was reported as fair. We came to a crawl about 3/4 down the runway. We accomplished all the appropriate procedures by memory. As we exited the runway we accomplished the engine failure and shutdown checklist. As we started our taxi to the gate the surface was so slick we couldn't maintain directional control on 1 engine. We notified the tower and then called for a company tug. We made it back to the gate undamaged.
