Narrative:
While returning from ewr to yip (part 91), we diverted as asked by company dispatch to (bak). The captain calculated distance, ground speed and fuel burn which gave us fuel reserve required by far. The calculations were done with information obtain from FSS. Notifying ZOB after passing (eri), the captain requested diversion and received vector for (bak). As first officer, I asked a fellow crew member riding jump seat who was a commercial MEL and current in the aircraft if he wanted the rest of the leg. The 3RD crew member accepted and occupied the right seat for the remainder of the flight. I took the jump seat in the rear of aircraft in which intercom didn't work. Upon landing at (3SM) I learned the crew advised ATC of minimum fuel condition but not declaring an emergency. ATC asked if they wanted (bak) destination or divert to shelbyville (3SM). In consideration of WX and winds, crew felt it was prudent to divert and land with a comfortable fuel level rather than continue the flight.

Title: FLC OF AN LTT DIVERTED AND LANDED DUE TO DETERIORATING WX AND INSUFFICIENT FUEL TO CONTINUE TO DEST.
Narrative: WHILE RETURNING FROM EWR TO YIP (PART 91), WE DIVERTED AS ASKED BY COMPANY DISPATCH TO (BAK). THE CAPT CALCULATED DISTANCE, GND SPD AND FUEL BURN WHICH GAVE US FUEL RESERVE REQUIRED BY FAR. THE CALCULATIONS WERE DONE WITH INFO OBTAIN FROM FSS. THE 3RD CREW MEMBER ACCEPTED AND OCCUPIED THE R SEAT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FLT. I TOOK THE JUMP SEAT IN THE REAR OF ACFT IN WHICH INTERCOM DIDN'T WORK. UPON LNDG AT (3SM) I LEARNED THE CREW ADVISED ATC OF MINIMUM FUEL CONDITION BUT NOT DECLARING AN EMER. ATC ASKED IF THEY WANTED (BAK) DEST OR DIVERT TO SHELBYVILLE (3SM).
