Narrative:
After I landed in stt (usvi) we exited the runway via 'D' towards air carrier ramp. We saw the marshall next to the east ramp (side) of the north ramp, near the terminal building. We were instructed to make a 180 degree turn to the left facing the north, as we always park the aircraft in stt. We followed the marshall's and wing walker's instructions. The marshall was giving me the move straight ahead signal, until the first officer shouted to stop, which I did immediately. The marshall started questioning me and signalling why I stopped the aircraft. The wing walker was doing the ok signal. We stopped the engineer and followed the 'parking' checklist. Then we deplaned the passenger. We walked to the outside of the aircraft and inspected the wing visually. Also, we interviewed the marshall and the wing-walker. The marshall did not realize what had happened. The wing-walker when we asked, responded saying 'I was looking at the marshall' 'I did not have any training' 'I don't know what I was doing.'
