Narrative:
First flight of day and trip with new captain. We completed all taxi checklists and pretkof checklists. We were cleared into position and right away cleared for takeoff on runway 5R. As soon as I pushed up power levers, both the captain and I noticed a slower acceleration of power and decided to abort at approximately 80 KTS. We notified tower. We had noticed our np hadn't reached its full 62 percent, because of this short leg. It caused our power up to be abnormal. This was because of our quick clearance into position, then cleared for takeoff. Once we clarified this, tower said we could just make a 180 degrees turn and be cleared for takeoff on runway 5R. The captain and I both agreed on the situation and felt that if we had continued the takeoff the power would've come up later than normal and it was best to abort and be safe on the ground. I feel our crew communication was an important factor that helped us to clarify the situation and react in due time.

I FEEL OUR CREW COM WAS AN IMPORTANT FACTOR THAT HELPED US TO CLARIFY THE SIT AND REACT IN DUE TIME.
