Narrative:
During preflight, missed logbook write-up. Engine #2 fadec class ii message. No fault message displayed during preflight. Noticed write-up after takeoff. Received proper maintenance authority/authorized for deferral. Since message was never displayed during our flight, did not impact our flight operation. Extenuating circumstances: late inbound flight resulting in short preflight. Several items requiring attention such as getting water svced and galley svced consumed time resulting in rushed preflight.

Narrative: DURING PREFLT, MISSED LOGBOOK WRITE-UP. ENG #2 FADEC CLASS II MESSAGE. NO FAULT MESSAGE DISPLAYED DURING PREFLT. NOTICED WRITE-UP AFTER TKOF. RECEIVED PROPER MAINT AUTH FOR DEFERRAL. SINCE MESSAGE WAS NEVER DISPLAYED DURING OUR FLT, DID NOT IMPACT OUR FLT OP. EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES: LATE INBOUND FLT RESULTING IN SHORT PREFLT. SEVERAL ITEMS REQUIRING ATTN SUCH AS GETTING WATER SVCED AND GALLEY SVCED CONSUMED TIME RESULTING IN RUSHED PREFLT.
