Narrative:
Lost both navs. Faded in and out determined unusable. Shot missed and approach to ILS det. Checked WX 200-300 ft 1-2 in general vicinity. Controller vectored me to my request to ASR det. Shot approach. Believed only opportunity available to land. Radar altimeter working properly. Validated altimeter at 1 mi. Had ground contact and airport lights in distance. Descended to minimums of ILS 200 ft and landed safely without incident or declaring emergency. Things happen so quickly probably went below minimums but remained safe. If gca not available, ASR can be a lifesaver.
