Narrative:
On the jan/fri/95, at approximately XA34 am local, the ATIS recording at the airport was reporting 2900 ft overcast because that is what the ASOS gave it for official WX. The actual conditions were 2900 scattered with 1/10 to 2/10 coverage. This is just one of may conflicts I have had with the ASOS WX system. I feel this shows the continued need for humans as an official WX observer.
