Narrative:
Climbing through FL240 with clearance to FL290, we were told to maintain FL250. The first officer thought FL250 was a speed restr and didn't get altitude in the window. A turn was requested distracting me enough to miss the FL250 restr. At FL265 ATC told us to return to FL260.
