Narrative:
Landed new runway 36L. After clearing runway, we told the ground controller that we wanted to go to 'GA.' we meant to go the GA ramp area but the controller thought we were going to an FBO called 'similar name.' that was in a different part of the airport. Ground said to use 'G' taxiway, and in the confusion, we passed it up. Ground controller then said that we did not follow his instructions. We were looking for the taxiway in the wrong direction. Ground told us to hold short of runway 27, then taxi left on 'F' taxiway and expedite. There was not a taxiway 'F,' the controller was obviously referring to 'D' taxiway, and we used taxiway 'D'. We taxied with no further problem. We should have been more specific with what we meant by 'GA,' and the controller should have used the correct taxiway designation in its instructions. It was very confusing, and the ground controller should have been more patient, since he was confused, also. Bad day for all.
