Narrative:

C-150 with 25 hour student and instructor on board. Experienced partial power loss due to #2 cylinder rocker shaft boss failure. Part cylinder #2 time since overhaul 335 hours. Following precautionary landing on grass field, no damage. #2 cylinder replaced and aircraft flown to home base. FAA investigation looked at logbooks to air frame and claims that there is a discrepancy in signoff of last 100 hour inspection and 2 recurring airworthiness directives. FAA has since sent letter requesting how I intend to correct what they say is wrong with the logbooks. FAA never looked at all the maintenance records of the aircraft. I will respond with an answer to FAA in the ordered time.
