Narrative:
It was feb/xx/95 at XA20. I was late for my departure and was ready to taxi out of the ramp. Another aircraft informed me over the radio that my baggage door was open. Without thinking and since I was in a rush, I stepped out of the airplane and closed the baggage door with the engine running. Not realizing what I had done, I continued with my flight. I did not realize how grave this was until, the flight supervisor and the director of flight security spoke to me and told me how wrong I was. This event was not done on purpose, it happened quickly and what I did was done without thinking of the consequences.
