Narrative:
Just prior to takeoff roll -- ATC tower changed climb out from coney climb to whitestone climb runway 13. Unable to contact departure control on assigned frequency 124.65. Tried the frequency printed on the commercial chart departure page also with no contact. Changed to #1 radio and called again on 124.65. Still no reply. Heard the aircraft that departed after us also calling departure on this frequency with no reply from departure control. Went back to lga tower to confirm departure control frequency. Changed frequency again and finally made contact at about 5000 ft MSL. Departure asked us what climb we had been assigned. This sounds to me like the tower and departure were not coordinating the departures correctly. Unable to tell why we could not contact departure control as we were on the correct frequency for several calls. As soon as possible report due to the implied words from departure control that we might have flown the incorrect departure climb -- which was not the case.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: TWR CHANGED DEPT SID WITH NEW FREQ JUST PRIOR TO TKOF. NO COM WITH ATC UNTIL PLT RECEIVED NEW FREQ FROM TWR.
Narrative: JUST PRIOR TO TKOF ROLL -- ATC TWR CHANGED CLBOUT FROM CONEY CLB TO WHITESTONE CLB RWY 13. UNABLE TO CONTACT DEP CTL ON ASSIGNED FREQ 124.65. TRIED THE FREQ PRINTED ON THE COMMERCIAL CHART DEP PAGE ALSO WITH NO CONTACT. CHANGED TO #1 RADIO AND CALLED AGAIN ON 124.65. STILL NO REPLY. HEARD THE ACFT THAT DEPARTED AFTER US ALSO CALLING DEP ON THIS FREQ WITH NO REPLY FROM DEP CTL. WENT BACK TO LGA TWR TO CONFIRM DEP CTL FREQ. CHANGED FREQ AGAIN AND FINALLY MADE CONTACT AT ABOUT 5000 FT MSL. DEP ASKED US WHAT CLB WE HAD BEEN ASSIGNED. THIS SOUNDS TO ME LIKE THE TWR AND DEP WERE NOT COORDINATING THE DEPS CORRECTLY. UNABLE TO TELL WHY WE COULD NOT CONTACT DEP CTL AS WE WERE ON THE CORRECT FREQ FOR SEVERAL CALLS. ASAP RPT DUE TO THE IMPLIED WORDS FROM DEP CTL THAT WE MIGHT HAVE FLOWN THE INCORRECT DEP CLB -- WHICH WAS NOT THE CASE.
