As reported by crew log page X: 'as nose gear touched down during landing, excessive nose wheel shimmy was felt and steering itself was almost nil. After aircraft was brought to a stop, 'a' system qty was noted as zero' arrived at work and took turnover of job already in progress reference. Log page Y 'removed nlg l-hand steering actuator and metering valve per maintenance manual 32-51-31 due to leakage. Removed and replaced steering metering valve and l-hand steer-in cylinder in accordance with maintenance manual 32-51-21 and 32- 51-31. Performed adjustment test in accordance with maintenance manual 32-51-0 operations checks good with no leaks noted.' performed job in safe manner aircraft departed on time and safely.

Narrative: AS RPTED BY CREW LOG PAGE X: 'AS NOSE GEAR TOUCHED DOWN DURING LNDG, EXCESSIVE NOSE WHEEL SHIMMY WAS FELT AND STEERING ITSELF WAS ALMOST NIL. AFTER ACFT WAS BROUGHT TO A STOP, 'A' SYS QTY WAS NOTED AS ZERO' ARRIVED AT WORK AND TOOK TURNOVER OF JOB ALREADY IN PROGRESS REF. LOG PAGE Y 'REMOVED NLG L-HAND STEERING ACTUATOR AND METERING VALVE PER MAINT MANUAL 32-51-31 DUE TO LEAKAGE. REMOVED AND REPLACED STEERING METERING VALVE AND L-HAND STEER-IN CYLINDER IN ACCORDANCE WITH MAINT MANUAL 32-51-21 AND 32- 51-31.
