Narrative:
Yesterday, feb/tues/95, I was notified that I had caused the noise monitors to go off during a missed approach at sjc. It was a flight on feb/thu/95. Throughout the flight we had slowed so as to arrive at the final approach fix not before XA30. At approximately 12 DME we realized that we would be 2-3 mins early and requested a 360 degree turn or some action to avoid being early. This was not granted. We continued to slow and configure as early as possible for additional time. At some point around the final approach fix, I don't know the exact location, I realized that our efforts to slow were probably going to result in an unstable approach and I did a missed approach. I am told that this miss resulted in the monitor going off. I am not sure of the exact location I initiated the miss. I feel it was just inside the marker. I do know we were IFR and the ceiling was 800 ft. These are the facts as best as I remember from this flight which was 6 days ago.

Title: NOISE ABATEMENT POLICY - ACR SET OFF THE NOISE MONITORS AND VIOLATED CURFEW WHEN IT ARRIVED TOO EARLY AND THEN MADE A GAR.
Narrative: YESTERDAY, FEB/TUES/95, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT I HAD CAUSED THE NOISE MONITORS TO GO OFF DURING A MISSED APCH AT SJC. IT WAS A FLT ON FEB/THU/95. THROUGHOUT THE FLT WE HAD SLOWED SO AS TO ARRIVE AT THE FINAL APCH FIX NOT BEFORE XA30. AT APPROX 12 DME WE REALIZED THAT WE WOULD BE 2-3 MINS EARLY AND REQUESTED A 360 DEG TURN OR SOME ACTION TO AVOID BEING EARLY. THIS WAS NOT GRANTED. WE CONTINUED TO SLOW AND CONFIGURE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE FOR ADDITIONAL TIME. AT SOME POINT AROUND THE FINAL APCH FIX, I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT LOCATION, I REALIZED THAT OUR EFFORTS TO SLOW WERE PROBABLY GOING TO RESULT IN AN UNSTABLE APCH AND I DID A MISSED APCH. THESE ARE THE FACTS AS BEST AS I REMEMBER FROM THIS FLT WHICH WAS 6 DAYS AGO.
