Narrative:
On mar/xx/95 a company flight, sdf to abq, was cleared by ATC to descend from FL310 to FL270. Autoplt did not make altitude capture at FL270. Aircraft descended to FL26.4 before corrected. Cause was lack of crew situational awareness due to crew distraction and autoplt malfunction.

Title: AN ACR FLC WAS DISTR DURING DSCNT, AND FAILED TO NOTICE THAT ALT CAPTURE MODE WAS NOT CAPTURING, AT ASSIGNED ALT.
Narrative: ON MAR/XX/95 A COMPANY FLT, SDF TO ABQ, WAS CLRED BY ATC TO DSND FROM FL310 TO FL270. AUTOPLT DID NOT MAKE ALT CAPTURE AT FL270. ACFT DSNDED TO FL26.4 BEFORE CORRECTED. CAUSE WAS LACK OF CREW SITUATIONAL AWARENESS DUE TO CREW DISTR AND AUTOPLT MALFUNCTION.
